写心伝心 Photographing with the Heart
My creative process begins by experiencing the landscape through all five sense
s.
Rather than simply creating with my mind, I hope to present my work as something t
hat conveys the message from the scenery that I felt in my heart during the shoot.
In digital photography, I consider tonal expression to be a fundamental aspect.
After shooting, I work on the computer to replace the colors I saw and remembered
during the shoot with my own emotional palette, enhancing the image to reflect the
colors and tones I envision and desire.
From the belief that “photographs reflect the heart,” I intentionally use the term
“写心shashin” (photographing with the heart) instead of “写真shashin” (photograph
y).
This exhibition showcases works that express the magnificent scenes I have witness
ed in all things in nature, portrayed in beautiful colors and tones.
I hope that the messages I felt from the great nature resonate gently with the hea
rts of those who view my work.
